Our experience has shown us that installing renewable energy on a small scale is not always the best way to cut carbon emissions. Taking simple steps like insulating your premises can go a long way to making significant carbon reductions.

It is our professional and social responsibility to tell people where a renewable energy solution is not appropriate.

if you are considering installing a renewable energy source then it is important to consider if the application is going to be suitable. For example, it may be more  efficient to install an Energy Efficient Gas Boiler if you are connected to the Gas Network rather than installing say, a ground source heat pump. (N.B Ground Source Heat Pumps still need to use power from the grid to work) Although you may think you are doing your bit for the environment and reducing your carbon footprint, that may not always be the case.
