News, Awards, TV - Heritage Award for Infrastructure

Ballantine Bo'ness were fortunate enough to win this prestigeous award in 2008; something we are still proud of today. The Structural Awards are the industry’s most prestigious awards ceremony which celebrates excellence in structural engineering.

Established in 1968, the Structural Awards recognise and reward the work of the world’s most talented structural designers, their indispensable contribution to the built environment and showcase projects that lead the industry's development.

The Heritage Award for Infrastructure is for achievement in design involving restoration, conservation, extension or refurbishment of a structure other than a building, where the style and integrity of the original structure is maintained and made evident in the final concept. The judges said of the project;

‘…A complex and intricate project where tolerances and buildability were paramount successfully achieved within the demanding constraint of preserving the appearance of this historic structure.’
